Osavul raises €8.5M Series A to take its hybrid-threat intelligence beyond defence
Osavul, a Luxembourg-based hybrid risk-intelligence startup that grew out of work during Russia's invasion of Ukraine, raised an €8.5 million Series A led by 33N Ventures with participation from Balnord, G+D Ventures, and 42CAP, bringing its total funding to about €12 million. The company's AI platform flags hostile intent across cyber, physical, and information domains for government, defense, and critical-infrastructure customers in more than 10 countries.
Osavul, a Luxembourg-based company that analyzes hybrid threats, has raised €8.5 million in Series A funding led by 33N Ventures, a European cybersecurity investor, with participation from Balnord, G+D Ventures and existing investor 42CAP. The round, announced on October 1, brings its total funding to about €12 million.
The company was built during Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine and spent four years working alongside defence, cyber and information-security units. Its AI platform draws on open and privileged data to spot hostile intent across the information, cyber and physical domains, identifying who is targeting a customer and mapping that intent against the customer's people, facilities and supply chains before an attack happens. Assessments are reviewed by analysts, traced to evidence, and can run on-premises within sovereign infrastructure.
Osavul serves government, defence and security institutions in more than 10 countries, including the UK, Germany, Poland, the Nordics, the US and Asia-Pacific, and is one of three technology companies delivering NATO's Information Environment Assessment Capability. It says its total contract value grew fourfold in 2025.
The money will go toward deepening its AI capabilities, building a commercial organization and expanding beyond government into enterprises and critical infrastructure such as energy, airports, ports, transport and finance. "Hybrid attacks are no longer a government problem alone," said co-founder and CEO Dmytro Plieshakov, noting that more than 150 state-linked hybrid incidents have been recorded across Europe since 2022. The founders previously built and sold Captain Growth to Perion.
